Artway Gallery proudly dedicated their space to combine the works of Olga Lunina and Victoria Road to create ‘Svet Luni Serafin’ (Moon Lit Angel) an exhibition of dolls, paintings and upcycled furniture pieces.
Here are just some of the wonderful comments we recieved from visitors:
”AMAZING!”
”Astonishing”
”A revelation!”
”Thank you for an AWESOME exhibition – LOVED it’s Labyrinth meets Tim Burton meets Lewis Carroll meets Neil Gaiman genius”
Combining to spiritual works of Russian artist & Sculptor, Olga Lunina, with the practical, artistic works of Victoria Road artists, Piotr Serafin & Brigitte Antal to create the stunning installation, Svet Luni Serafin.
Nathan John Booth
We were honoured to begin our gallery with the amazing works by artist Nathan John Booth. His fantastical paintings were often confused with photographs as the detail was so immense! Nathan continues to be a good friend of Artway Gallery and we are certain his works will bring pleasure to many more art lovers in the future.
The Nathan John Booth exhibition has now come to an end, but we still have postcards for sale at Artway Gallery, and we are still accepting orders for prints.
If you have any queries regarding Nathan’s works, please do not hesitate to contact us at info@artwaygallery.co.uk
Nathan John Booth creates artwork essentially about (other) people: about people and created with assistance and influence from people. It is about Humanity; touching on the spiritual; he is drawn to that sense of meaning derived from the unknown. He creates paintings using the suggestions of others and his large figurative paintings are always created using the individual ideas from each sitter. There is an interplay in his work between the traditional (painting/painting technique) and the modern and experimental and he is interested in this apparent polarisation in contemporary art and interested in how art and artists are categorised, always looking at ways to subtly shirk easy categorisation.
Nathan John Booth is originally from Derby, born in 1979. He studied at the Sir John Cass Department of Art at London Guildhall University completing in 2001 on a conceptually intensive Fine Art degree course. He was taught by the artist Bob and Roberta Smith, Nico de Oliveira and Nicola Oxley; founders of the Museum of Installation as well as artist Jeremy Wood. He works from his studio in Islington, North London.

”Corinne’s Doodles”
Corinne exhibited her beautiful freehand drawings throughout September and October, she claims to not be a ‘real’ artist, but our visitors beg to differ! Her works were compared to stained glass windows, pieces of fabric, and illuminated manuscripts! I think that is the work of an artist!
Corinne has become a wonderful friend of the gallery and we hope her future exhibitions bring her even more joy and friendships!
Belle Robinson Exhibition
18th October – 31st October
Artway Gallery is home to Belle Robinson‘s latest show, Near and Far, which continues her exploration of the relationship between paint and subject through her portrayal of London’s unnoticed greenery.
From her ‘worm’s eye’ viewpoint, Belle’s paintings of this busy overcrowded city rarely feature more than a hint of the many people who constantly pass by these places.
Belle’s non-traditional approach to landscape fuses representation and abstraction in celebration of the surprising intensity of colour to be found in London’s public and private planting. Her commissioned work includes Abney Park Cemetery, Stoke Newington Reservoir and private gardens. This is Belle’s sixth solo show and includes paintings of Shoreditch and Waterlow Park as well as landscapes from France, Sardinia and Morocco.
The exhibition will run from Tuesday, 18th October to Monday, 31st October at Artway Emporium (opposite Highgate Station), 273 Archway Road, N6 5AA.
”Not So Boring Housewife”
‘A boring old housewife’. That was how my young daughter, Nathalie, described me in a school project some years ago. Those words rang in my ears, and it was this that inspired me to follow an unfulfilled ambition to go back to Art College, and there to complete a foundation course in Art and Design followed by a degree in Fashion Design. I graduated with a first class honours degree.
Not only did her words encourage me to go back to my studies, they also gave me the source of inspiration to create a collection of contemporary art works to show that the housewife’s life and daily chores needn’t be boring but, in fact, totally inspiring in so many ways.
From my fashion design roots, my love of texture, form and colour I have incorporated in my work everyday household items and pastimes, using them in such a way as to create exciting, beautiful, innovative pieces. Basically bringing the sometimes-tedious chores and repetitive lives of the housewife into vibrant 3d works of art.
The Caron B Exhibition runs from 12th – 17th December at Artway Gallery.
